The Korean Studies Section at Stockholm University cordially invites you to a Public reading of Korean literature with author Lee Kyunghye
Lee Kyunghye is a renowned writer of Korean children’s stories and young adult novels. Sponsored by the Residency program of the Korean Arts Council, she is currently spending three months in Stockholm.
The public reading at Stockholm University will highlight major steps of Lee Kyunghye’s writing career and introduce her most successful works. In particular, Lee Kyunghye will read passages of her novel One Day I Died which has become a famous steady seller in the genre of young adult literature in Korea. Addressing emotional questions of adolescence, the novel recounts the story of a teenage girl coping with the sudden and unexpected death of her best friend who died in a motorcycle accident.
